South Africa – a heart start

Day is done and the experience begins. A 2am call time and a drive to the graves at Sharpeville. 21 March 1960, 50 years ago to the day, a massacre of men, women and children. 69 graves all in a line. Hundreds more were injured. The day marked a turning point in this country,s history. In 1994, Mandela declared 21 March as Human Rights Day, a national holiday.  Off to witness the remembrance with Hock Films and Sal Masekela.
